Cowichan Cricket & Sports Club

The Cowichan Cricket and Sports Club was formed in 1912, and its home is on 24 acres in Shawnigan Lake. The Cowichan CC grounds are home to a Donald Bradman-recognised cricket museum showing off ythe history of cricket on Vancouver Island.
Cowichan CC has won the 1st Division League on many occasions in the last 50+ years.

Since the founding of our cricket club in 1912, only two world wars have interpreted our activities until recently. Then in 2020 we, like the rest of the world, were faced with the major challenges of the the COVID-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, a truncated league schedule and fewer Over 4os fixtures meant that cricket at Cowichan CC was not totally shut down in 2020 and 2021. Although the pandemic is still with us in its less severe and disruptive form, the VDCA has planned a full slate of games and the Cowichan XL team that plays mostly on Thursdays has more fixtures than any other year since its inception in 1985.
